How is the 1.50 carat total split between the two earrings?

Three quarters of a carat in each ear. Each earring is set with one round brilliant, and the 1.50 ct figure is the two stones together.

Does the 1.50 ct use a lower grade than the smaller pairs?

No. G colour and VS2 clarity, the same as every other weight in this line, with an IGI certificate included. What changes between the weights is scale, not stone quality.

Is the 1.50 ct size right for me?
