Dual Wheat Chain Bracelet With Diamond Stations in 14K Two Tone Gold

A wheat chain is four strands of twisted links all leaning the same way, which is where the name comes from: the surface runs in a grain, like a stalk laid flat. It is one of the densest weaves in chainmaking, and the density is why a wheat looks like a single rope of gold instead of a series of separate links.

Running two of them side by side changes the behavior. Two narrow ropes flex independently along their lengths, so a bracelet 3.75mm wide stays as supple as a much thinner chain, where one rope of that width would be noticeably stiffer. The stations then do structural work.
