In Brief

A huggie is a small hoop that sits close against the lobe, so it stays neat through the day and works alone or stacked with other piercings. Every DEEVE huggie is solid 14K gold, never plated or filled, from a 10 mm textured huggie to a 19 mm paperclip, in yellow and white gold. The Guide

How to Choose Huggie Earrings

Start with size, because a huggie's job is to sit close. Around 10 to 13 mm hugs the lobe tightly and suits a second or third piercing; 15 to 19 mm sits a little lower and reads more like a small hoop. Then pick the shape: the round snuggable huggie is the plain everyday pair, while square, paperclip, C-hoop and curb chain huggies give a small earring a distinct outline. Check the closure last: a snap lock clicks shut, and a push back slides on more easily.

What are huggie earrings?

Huggies are small hoops sized to sit close against the lobe rather than hang below it. DEEVE's huggies run from 10 to 19 mm in solid 14K gold, never plated or filled, and come in round, square, paperclip, C-hoop and curb chain shapes.

Are huggie earrings good for a second piercing?

Yes, the smaller sizes suit it. A huggie between 10 and 13 mm sits close to the lobe without crowding the first piercing; the 10 mm textured huggie and the 12.40 mm curb chain huggie both close with a snap lock.

What shapes do huggie earrings come in?

Beyond the classic round snuggable huggie, DEEVE carries a 12.00 mm square huggie, a 19 mm paperclip huggie, C-hoop huggies that leave the circle open, a curb chain huggie made of linked gold, and a wide huggie that is 14.00 mm across the face.

Do huggie earrings come in white gold?

Yes. The snuggable huggie comes in 14K white gold at 12.70 mm; the other huggies here are 14K yellow gold.

Huggie Shapes

The range goes well beyond the plain round. C-hoop huggies at 14.10 and 16.00 mm leave the circle open, the square huggie measures 12.00 mm, the paperclip huggie runs to 19 mm, and the curb chain huggie is built from linked gold at 12.40 mm across. The wide huggie, 14.00 mm across the face, is the bold option. The snuggable huggies are the everyday pair, at 15 mm in yellow gold and 12.70 mm in white gold.

Weight and Closure

Huggies are light to wear, from 0.9 grams for the textured pair to 3.5 grams for the wide huggie. Most close with a snap lock that clicks shut; the C-hoop huggies use a push back, and the wide huggie a hidden snap post.
