This huggie borrows its look from a curb chain. The band is formed as a row of curved, interlinked shapes, so up close it reads like a short length of chain wrapped into a hoop, a detail that makes a small earring look considered rather than plain.

It measures 12.40 mm across and 4.20 mm wide, with an approximate weight of 2.5 g. Huggies are sized to hug the lobe, and at this diameter it sits snugly, which makes it comfortable for everyday wear and easy to pair with a stud in a second piercing.

How a snap lock hoop closes

A snap lock is built into the hoop itself. A hinged post swings across, passes through the piercing and clicks into a catch on the other side, which turns the hoop into one closed circle that cannot slide out. To take it off, ease the post out of the catch and swing it open. No click means the post is not seated yet.
