A 1.8mm diamond-cut stack bangle in solid 14K yellow, white or rose gold, 7 inches with an extender chain, about 4.6 grams. A diamond-cut finish has nothing to do with diamonds. The name describes the tool: a rotating cutter shaves microscopic flat facets into the surface of the gold itself, so the metal picks up and throws light the way a faceted stone does. It is gold made to sparkle without adding anything to it.

At 1.8mm this bangle is about as narrow as the technique is worth doing. Below that the facets become too small to resolve; here they sit right at the threshold where the eye stops seeing individual cuts and starts seeing continuous glitter. That is why a diamond-cut bangle at this width outperforms a plain polished one several times its weight.

It fastens with a lobster clasp on a short extender chain finished with a small tag, so the fit can be set snug or a little looser at the wrist. The clasp sits at the back, where the band meets the chain, which leaves the faceted front uninterrupted as it turns. Sized at 7 inches.
