In Brief

A paperclip chain is built from long, open links with rounded ends, the shape of a paperclip, so it reads lighter than its width and layers easily. DEEVE's paperclip chains and bracelets are solid 14K gold, with one fine chain in 18K, never gold-plated or filled, in yellow, white and rose gold: necklaces from a 1.50 mm fine chain to a 9.8 mm statement chain, and bracelets from 2.00 to 6.10 mm. Free worldwide shipping, with delivery in 5–7 business days.

The Guide

How to Choose a Paperclip Chain

Start with how it will be worn. For layering, or to carry a small pendant, the 1.50 mm 18K fine chain or the 4.2 mm bold chain keeps the line light; worn alone, the 9.8 mm wide chain is the statement. Then choose the clasp: a standard lobster clasp sits at the back, while the two carabiner necklaces close at the front as part of the design. For a set, the 4.2 mm bracelet matches the 4.2 mm necklace in yellow, white or rose gold.

What is a paperclip chain?

A chain of long, open links with rounded ends, the shape of a paperclip, so it reads lighter than its width. DEEVE's paperclip chains are solid 14K gold, with one fine chain in 18K, in yellow, white and rose gold, from 1.50 to 9.8 mm; the bracelets run from 2.00 to 6.10 mm.

Can you put a pendant on a paperclip chain?

Yes. The open links take a pendant bail easily, and the finer chains, the 1.50 mm 18K chain or the 4.2 mm bold chain, carry a small pendant best. The two carabiner necklaces close at the front, so the clasp itself becomes part of the look.

Are the diamonds on the paperclip bracelets lab-grown or natural?

Natural. One bracelet has one diamond-covered link at 0.31 ct, the other three at 0.95 ct, prong-set in 14K yellow gold, I–J (near-colorless) in color and I2–I3 (included) in clarity. Natural diamonds at DEEVE are conflict-free and responsibly sourced.

Is there a paperclip bracelet that matches the necklace?

Yes. The 4.2 mm paperclip bracelet and the bold 4.2 mm paperclip necklace share the same width and both come in 14K yellow, white and rose gold, so they wear as a set.

About this collection

A paperclip chain is built from long, open links with rounded ends, the shape of a paperclip, so it reads lighter than its width and layers easily. DEEVE's paperclip chains and bracelets are solid 14K gold, with one fine chain in 18K, never gold-plated or filled, in yellow, white and rose gold: necklaces from a 1.50 mm fine chain to a 9.8 mm statement chain, and bracelets from 2.00 to 6.10 mm. Necklaces

The 18K fine paperclip chain is 1.50 mm and about 2.0 grams at 16 inches, in yellow or white gold. The bold 4.2 mm chain comes in yellow, white and rose, at 18 inches in each and up to 38 inches in yellow. The 9.8 mm wide chain is the statement, about 18.9 grams at 18 inches. The adjustable necklace runs from 16 to 26 inches, and two 18-inch chains close at the front on a carabiner, one oval and one heart-shaped, so the clasp becomes part of the look.

Bracelets

The paperclip bracelets run from 2.00 to 6.10 mm wide, at 7 or 7.5 inches; the plain 2.10 mm bracelet weighs about 2.3 grams. The 4.2 mm and 6.10 mm bracelets come in yellow, white and rose gold, and the 4.2 mm bracelet matches the bold 4.2 mm necklace for a set. Two yellow gold bracelets carry prong-set natural diamonds: one diamond-covered link at 0.31 ct, or three at 0.95 ct, I–J (near-colorless) in color and I2–I3 (included) in clarity. Natural diamonds at DEEVE are conflict-free and responsibly sourced.
