FAQ
A Miami Cuban is a Cuban link chain whose oval links are set close and tight, so the chain lies flat as one dense, rounded line. DEEVE's Miami Cuban chains are 14K gold, never plated or filled, from 2.60 to 8.00 mm wide, in yellow, white and two-tone gold.
Construction. A solid Cuban has gold all the way through each link; semi-solid links are formed from thicker-walled gold tube, so the chain carries the width at a lighter weight. Both are 14K gold, never plated or filled. The weight shows it: at 24 inches the 4.0 mm solid chain weighs 29.1 grams and the 4.50 mm semi-solid chain 13.3 grams. Each listing names its build in the title and gives the approximate weight at every length.
Choose by how you want it to read. At 2.60 mm a Cuban is a fine everyday chain that layers easily; 4.0 to 5.50 mm holds its own worn alone; 7.00 to 8.00 mm makes the chain the statement. Wider chains are heavier, so the gram weight on each listing is worth reading alongside the width.
Yes. Alongside yellow gold, the semi-solid Miami Cuban comes in 14K white gold at 5.50 and 7.00 mm, and the 8.00 mm pavé-cut Cuban is two-tone: yellow gold with white-gold links faceted to a pavé-like texture, with no stones set.

About this collection

The same pattern comes in different builds, and the weight tells them apart. A solid Cuban has gold all the way through each link: the 4.0 mm solid chain weighs 29.1 grams at 24 inches. Semi-solid links are formed from thicker-walled gold tube, so the chain keeps the width the pattern needs at a lighter weight; the 4.50 mm semi-solid chain weighs 13.3 grams at the same length. Both are 14K gold, never plated or filled. The two-tone 8.00 mm chain is pavé-cut: its white-gold links are faceted to a pavé-like texture, with no stones set.
Width decides how a Cuban reads. At 2.60 mm it is a fine everyday chain, 4.0 to 5.50 mm holds its own worn alone, and 7.00 to 8.00 mm makes the chain the statement. Lengths run from the 16-inch Cuban choker to 26 inches: 18 to 20 inches sits at the collarbone, 22 to 24 inches falls mid-chest. Each chain closes on a box clasp or a lobster clasp, several with end caps, and the 4.0 mm solid chain's box clasp carries two safety latches.
