A 6.00mm paperclip chain bracelet in solid 14K yellow gold with one link covered in 0.31 ct of natural diamonds, 7.5 inches. One decorated link in a run of plain ones is called a station, and on a wrist a station refuses to stay where you put it. Fasten this with the diamond link on top and by lunch it has traveled a quarter turn, then a half, wherever the weight of the clasp decides to take it. A station on a necklace faces front all day and is finished accordingly. This one has to hold up from every angle it can be rolled into, which is why the whole link is covered rather than set on a single face.

0.31 carats of round diamonds sit across it in prongs. Prongs are a considered choice on something worn at the wrist: they lift each stone clear of the metal so light reaches it from the sides as well as the top, and they are also the only thing on a chain capable of finding a loose thread in a knit sleeve. Kept low and rounded, they take the light and leave the wool alone.

Either side of it runs plain 6.00mm paperclip link over 7.5 inches, closed with a lobster clasp. The plainness is doing work. A busier chain would put the station in competition with its own bracelet.
