3ct Princess Lab Grown Diamond Ring | 14K Gold

Measure a princess across its flats and you have understated it. The widest dimension of any square is its diagonal, and on a finger the diagonal is what registers: corner to corner, a princess reaches further than a round of the same weight measures across, even though its sides are shorter than that round's diameter. The shape occupies the corners of the space it is given.

Underneath, the pavilion is cut in chevrons rather than the kites and triangles of a round. Chevrons divide returning light into many small hard-edged flashes instead of a few broad ones, so the face reads as a mosaic that reorganizes itself with small movements of the hand. Busier than a round, and nothing like the slow flash of a step cut.

Three carats of it, grown by CVD and certified by IGI, G–H in color and VS1–VS2 in clarity, with polish and symmetry both Excellent. Four prongs cover the four corners, which is the only place a square asks for metal.

The band is 1.50mm and the ring finishes at 3.4 grams, in solid 14K white gold or 14K yellow gold with a white gold head. Certificate included, warrantied for life by DEEVE.
