Quick Answer

As of October 14, 2026, lab-grown diamond jewelry at DEEVE costs CA$685 to CA$2,858 per carat (US$482 to US$2,011). A 1 ct solitaire engagement ring is CA$2,858, or CA$2,858 per carat, falling to CA$1,130 per carat at 5 ct. Tennis bracelets fall from CA$1,468 per carat at 2 ct to CA$685 at 10 ct. Stud earrings stay near CA$1,129 per carat at every weight.

Price per carat is a good way to compare pieces, but it is not the whole price. Two stones of the same weight can differ in cut and grade, and the setting has to suit the person who wears it."

As of October 14, 2026, lab-grown diamond jewelry at DEEVE costs between CA$685 and CA$2,858 per carat (US$482 to US$2,011), depending on the kind of piece and its total weight. This index divides the listed price of every engagement ring, tennis bracelet and pair of stud earrings in the lab-grown diamond collection by its total carat weight, so you can compare a solitaire, a strand and a pair of studs on one scale. The figures are read from the live store on the date above and refreshed each month.

Lab-Grown Diamond Price per Carat: October 2026 at a Glance

Three kinds of piece, read on the same day in Canadian and US dollars. The ranges below run from the lightest to the heaviest weight DEEVE lists in each category.

Piece Weights listed Price (CAD) Per carat (CAD) Per carat (USD)
Solitaire engagement rings 1 ct to 5 ct CA$2,858 to CA$5,649 CA$1,130 to CA$2,858 US$795 to US$2,011
Tennis bracelets 2 ct to 10 ct CA$2,935 to CA$6,846 CA$685 to CA$1,468 US$482 to US$1,032
Stud earrings (pair) 1 ct to 4 ct CA$1,129 to CA$3,802 CA$904 to CA$1,129 US$636 to US$794

Two patterns stand out. In engagement rings and tennis bracelets, the price per carat falls steadily as the piece gets heavier. In stud earrings it stays within a narrow band at every weight. Each section below gives the full table.

How We Measured

The method is deliberately simple, so anyone can check it against the store.

  • Which pieces: every available solitaire engagement ring, tennis bracelet and pair of stud earrings in the lab-grown diamond collection on October 14, 2026. All are set in 14K gold.
  • Which price: the price most available sizes of a piece carry. A single size priced apart from the rest is left out, so one unusual listing cannot move the index.
  • Which weight: the total carat weight named in the piece's own title: the stone of a solitaire, the full strand of a bracelet, both stones of a pair of studs.
  • Price per carat: price divided by total carat weight, rounded to the nearest dollar. Where a weight is offered in several shapes, the table shows the middle value across them.
  • Currencies: Canadian prices are read from deeve.ca and US prices from houseofdeeve.com in the same pass, and the two are checked against each other before either is used.

Eternity rings join the index from the November edition.

Engagement Rings: Price per Carat

Every lab-grown solitaire DEEVE lists is a single stone in a 14K gold setting, offered in six shapes. At each weight the six shapes share a price, so the table holds for round, oval, cushion, princess, radiant and emerald cuts alike.

Solitaire weight Price (CAD) Price (USD) Per carat (CAD) Per carat (USD)
1 ct CA$2,858 US$2,011 CA$2,858 US$2,011
1.5 ct CA$3,182 US$2,239 CA$2,121 US$1,493
2 ct CA$3,571 US$2,513 CA$1,786 US$1,256
3 ct CA$4,157 US$2,925 CA$1,386 US$975
5 ct CA$5,649 US$3,975 CA$1,130 US$795

A 1 ct round solitaire works out to CA$2,858 per carat. At 5 ct the figure is CA$1,130, well under half. The step from 1 ct to 1.5 ct adds half a carat for CA$324; the step from 3 ct to 5 ct adds two carats for CA$1,492. A 3 ct oval solitaire sits in the middle of the range at CA$1,386 per carat.

Per carat is a yardstick, not a verdict. Two rings of the same weight can still differ in cut, color, clarity and setting, and those differences are part of what a price buys.

Tennis Bracelets: Price per Carat

A tennis bracelet spreads its weight across a full strand of smaller stones, so its numbers behave differently from a solitaire's. DEEVE lists eight weights, from 2 ct to 10 ct.

Strand weight Price (CAD) Price (USD) Per carat (CAD) Per carat (USD)
2 ct CA$2,935 US$2,065 CA$1,468 US$1,032
3 ct CA$3,424 US$2,409 CA$1,141 US$803
4 ct CA$3,913 US$2,753 CA$978 US$688
5 ct CA$4,401 US$3,097 CA$880 US$619
6 ct CA$4,890 US$3,441 CA$815 US$574
7 ct CA$5,379 US$3,785 CA$768 US$541
8 ct CA$5,868 US$4,129 CA$734 US$516
10 ct CA$6,846 US$4,817 CA$685 US$482

The 2 ct strand works out to CA$1,468 per carat; the 10 ct strand to CA$685. Each additional carat between 2 ct and 8 ct adds a near-constant amount to the price, which is why the per-carat figure keeps falling as the strand gets heavier. For how weight changes the look of a strand on the wrist, see our guide to choosing a lab-grown diamond tennis bracelet.

Stud Earrings: Price per Carat

Stud weights are quoted for the pair, so a 1 ct pair holds two stones of about half a carat each.

Pair weight Price (CAD) Price (USD) Per carat (CAD) Per carat (USD)
1 ct CA$1,129 US$794 CA$1,129 US$794
1.5 ct CA$1,356 US$954 CA$904 US$636
2 ct CA$1,937 US$1,363 CA$968 US$682
3 ct CA$3,071 US$2,161 CA$1,024 US$720
4 ct CA$3,802 US$2,675 CA$950 US$669

Unlike rings and bracelets, studs hold a steady price per carat across the range: the 1 ct pair at CA$1,129 per carat and the 2 ct pair at CA$968 sit within a few hundred dollars of every other weight. Choosing studs is therefore more a question of the size you want to see on the ear than of finding a better rate per carat.

Reading the Numbers

The index answers one narrow question: how much carat weight a given budget buys in each kind of piece, at DEEVE, on the date shown. It does not grade stones, and it does not compare DEEVE with other sellers. For what else shapes the cost of a lab-grown diamond, and what a budget buys beyond weight, see the cost section of our complete guide to lab-grown diamonds.

Three things are worth keeping in mind when you use these figures. First, they are dated: the store's Canadian prices follow the exchange rate, so a figure read on another day may differ by a few dollars. Second, the rate per carat is not the same as value; a heavier piece is not automatically the better choice for the person wearing it. Third, every figure here can be checked on the product page it comes from, which is linked in the text above.

How the Index Is Kept Current

The index is read again from the live store every month and republished with the new date, method unchanged. If a piece is added or retired, its row appears or disappears in the next edition. The date at the top of this page is the date every figure was read.

To see every piece behind these numbers, browse the lab-grown diamond collection, or go straight to the tennis bracelets, stud earrings and engagement rings.

Every DEEVE piece carries a lifetime warranty, and questions about any listing are answered by our team at support@deeve.ca.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How is price per carat calculated in this index?
Each piece's listed price, the price most of its available sizes carry, is divided by the total carat weight named in its title and rounded to the nearest dollar.
Why does a tennis bracelet cost less per carat as it gets heavier?
In DEEVE's listings, each added carat of strand weight adds a near-constant amount to the price, so the cost per carat falls as the weight rises.
Are the prices in Canadian or US dollars?
Both. Canadian prices are read from deeve.ca and US prices from houseofdeeve.com on the same day, and both are shown.
How often is the index updated?
Every month. The figures are read again from the live store and the page is re-dated; the method stays the same.

Buying Guide

How to Choose a Lab Grown Diamond

Start with the piece rather than the stone, because the two halves of this collection ask different questions. A solitaire engagement ring puts one diamond at the centre, so cut quality decides almost everything about how it reads — a well-cut stone returns more light than a heavier one cut for weight, and the difference is visible across a table. Eternity bands, tennis bracelets and stud earrings are the opposite problem: many small stones, where evenness of colour and the security of each setting matter more than any single grade. That split also explains the carat figures. A solitaire's carat is one stone; on the other three it is total carat weight, the sum of everything set in the piece, which is why a 5 carat bracelet and a 5 carat ring are not comparable objects and are not priced alike. Certification follows the same line: it reads by the piece, not the sum of its stones — single-stone pieces such as engagement rings and stud earrings ship with their IGI certificate, while the eternity bands and tennis bracelets, many-stone pieces, are each certified as a whole with an AGI certificate. Everything here is solid 14K gold, the karat that holds prongs securely through daily wear.

The DEEVE Standard

Every piece in this collection is set in solid 14K gold — the karat recommended for daily wear — never plated or filled, hallmarked and quality-inspected before shipping. The engagement rings and stud earrings are IGI certified with the certificate included; the eternity bands and tennis bracelets come with an AGI certificate from the Accredited Gemological Institute. Every piece is covered by DEEVE's lifetime warranty, with free insured express shipping and 30-day returns across Canada and the US.
